DR. Relton's Biography

DR. Michael Relton

Dr. Michael Relton was born and raised in India in an Anglican Christian family. His parents were Christians for 5 generations.|He attended the local Anglican church from childhood. At age 10 by the invitation of his aunt he attended a tent meeting conducted by Bro. Bakht Singh, a converted Sikh. For the first time in his life he heard about being born again. He was convicted of his sin and asked Jesus to come into his life. For the first time in his life he felt the true joy and peace! At age 16 he contracted 'typhoid' fever and about to die. He was miraculously healed and his grandma who had a major influence in his spiritual life reminded him that perhaps God spared his life to serve Him.

After graduation from Christian High school, he went to college and intended to become a medical doctor. Later he changed his mind and went to work for a Bank. His ambition was to become the Bank President someday. He worked hard to reach that goal. Just when he felt convinced that this goal is within his reach, He felt the call of God to serve Him. After spending much time in prayer and consultation with Spiritual leaders and his Pastor he resigned his job and joined with Operation Mobilization, an International Student Ministry, who just arrived in India to preach the gospel and train young people in the ministry.

After traveling with them all over India for two years he decided to go to Bible college and enrolled in Union Biblical Seminary, an Interdenominational school to prepare for the ministry. In his third year he met his lovely wife from Canada and got married and came to Canada to complete his Bachelor studies.

Subsequently after graduation he Pastored three churches in Canada and also did his M.Div. in Canadian Theological College in Regina, Canada. He also received an honorary Doctorate degree from Faith Christian Bible College in Iowa.

In 1982 Dr. Relton emigrated to US and started a full Gospel church in Irving TX. After 4 years he felt he should be an Evangelist and traveled in many parts of US and held Crusades. In 1990 he completed his first 40 day fasting and prayer and God impressed very strongly on him the utmost importance of Prayer and which later culminated into a Book after 13 years by name "Dear God ... Prayer Book"

His hearts desire is to teach people on how to pray effectively and instruction on 'fasting and prayer' to equip the believers for ministry and help solve their difficult personal problems.

Dr. Relton visits many churches of all denominations to teach on prayer and to promote his book. He holds prayer Seminars in churches. He also has a vision to build a "School of Prayer" to teach the power of prayer to people of all walks of life, Businessmen, professionals, politicians etc. We will greatly appreciate your prayers.
